HATEBREED FRONTMAN JAMEY JASTA HAS CONFIRMED THAT FANS WILL NOT HAVE TO WAIT LONG for a successor to the band's upcoming studio effort, "Fatal Paradox". Splat! The album is set to arrive on November 6 via BLKIIBLK, the heavy metal imprint of Frontiers Label Group, and Jasta suggests the release will be followed by a quick successor in a move echoing the rapid-fire release cycle of 2002's "Perseverance" and 2003's "The Rise To Brutality".
Jasta explained that the current momentum, bolstered by recent SLAYER dates and the 30th anniversary of the debut "Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire" next year, necessitates a consistent output. The album, helmed by long-time collaborator Chris "Zeuss" Harris, features a blend of old and new aesthetics. Splat! Jasta noted the inclusion of specific narratives involving guitarist Wayne Lozinak and touring bassist Carl Schwartz, the latter of whom has garnered significant fan attention following his recent personal struggles.
We're not just biological accidents having this experience that's meaningless.
While the band is still deciding how to officially mark their 30th anniversary—be it a specific set of live shows or new recordings—Jasta insists on moving forward rather than resting on the existing catalog. Sticky! "I feel—I really did—throughout the record... "Damn, this record is crushing." It felt like we don't need to just rest on the laurels," Jasta told Nik Nocturnal. The band remains focused on the "here and the now" as they prepare for upcoming stadium dates and a high-energy touring cycle.
